On Tuesday, March 24, La Rochette Cartonboard took part in the IUT Chambéry Work-Study Forum 🎓

This morning was a great opportunity to connect with students from the BUT Packaging, Packaging and Conditioning program, and to introduce them to our history, our expertise, and our products.

These exchanges are essential to showcase our paperboard solutions to those who will design the packaging of tomorrow — whether with our clients or, who knows, within our company through an internship or a work-study program.

🙌 📸 A big thank you to IUT Chambéry for the organization, the photos/videos, and to the students for the quality of our discussions!

Last Friday, March 20, we opened the doors of our factory to the general public and job seekers as part of the national “Usines Ouvertes” (Open Factories) event, organized by the Société des ingénieurs Arts et Métiers (Arts et Métiers Alumni).

👉 What a day! What a success!

A total of 37 visitors came to meet us and discover our history, papermaking professions, as well as our environmental commitments and challenges.

It was a great opportunity to share a behind-the-scenes look at the manufacturing of our virgin fiber-based board, and to highlight a unique expertise we have been preserving since 1873 — making our site the last factory in France to produce this type of board.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to our teams whose commitment made this event a real success 🙌

Another successful factory tour took place on Wednesday, March 18!
We had the pleasure of welcoming 8 teachers from middle and high schools (as well as one kindergarten teacher!) from Savoie and Isère.

This marked the 3rd consecutive visit organized since 2024 in partnership with the Fondation CGénial, which works to bring the worlds of education and business closer together. 🎓💼

100% of our objectives achieved:

✔️ Showcasing our company and its history dating back to 1873
✔️ Presenting careers in the paper and cardboard industry
✔️ Explaining our industrial process combining tradition, innovation, and environmental responsibility
✔️ Promoting our Made in France expertise, rooted in the local economy
✔️ Strengthening collaboration between businesses and the national education system
✔️ Raising awareness of the Alp’paper collective

A big thank you to these teachers—true ambassadors—who help inspire and guide future generations toward careers in the paper and cardboard industry.
