On Thursday 20 February, our factory was highlighted on France 3 AURA’s 19/20 programme through a report dedicated to our collaboration with Jerome Poulalier, industrial photographer.

In September 2024, Jérôme captured our trades, our French know-how and the commitment of our employees at the heart of our manufacturing process to develop our photo library and our internal/external communication media.

We’re very proud of this opportunity! It’s an chance to showcase our industry to the general public and to talk about the recruitment challenges we face, like many other paper and board manufacturers.

🎥 We’d like to thank France 3 AURA once again for this report!

💬 ‘Proud of its past and looking to the future, the paper industry is not dead between Dauphiné and Savoie. That’s why a historic cardboard manufacturing plant has called on an industrial photographer to showcase its heritage and trades.’ France 3 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes / Savoie

📸 In September 2024, we had the pleasure of working with industrial photographer Jerome Poulalier to capture our trades, our French know-how and our employees at the heart of our manufacturing process.

La Rochette Cartonboard is on the move!

Already 32 employees have been trained in the fundamentals of Lean Management to improve agility, initiate a large number of continuous improvement projects and strengthen collaboration. Together, we’re moving towards new heights 🏔️ !

Our objectives with this training for our employees:

✅ Learn the fundamentals of lean management

✅ Identify opportunities for progress in your area of responsibility

✅ Contribute actively to continuous improvement projects

✅ Adopt a common language and tools to improve team and cross-functional collaboration

Tuesday 4 and Tuesday 11 February, the food was at the rendezvous at La Rochette Cartonboard!

More than 600 pancakes were distributed throughout the plant, offering a friendly moment within each department and team.

Thanks to the volunteers who helped with the preparation and distribution!

On 23 January, we announced the release of our new product catalogue, designed to showcase our different ranges of cartonboard to our customers and prospects. Now it’s time to present it to you!

What does it look like?

📌 A 3-panel folder, in the La Rochette Cartonboard colours, with embossing on the front side representing the topography of Savoie, highlighting key geographical points in the surrounding area: Annecy, La Rochette, Grenoble.

📌 Inside:

– Right: Presentation of our exotic ranges (Rochfreeze, Rochperle, Savoycoat, Rochblanc, Rochcoat Blanc) in different grammages, connected by a screw and cut out in the form of a mountain.

– Centre: Focus on our key Rochcoat range from 215g to 440g/m² with a cut-out in the centre representing the topography of Savoie.

– Left: 6 sheets of Rochcoat illustrating different printing techniques (offset, digital, matt/gloss metallic stamping, matt/gloss varnish). Assembled, they form… a mountain! 🏔️

The mountain occupies a central place in our catalogue because it is at the heart of our business: the water from the Joudron and the wood chips from our forests are essential to the manufacture of our cartonboard pulp, and our factory, located in Savoie, is as close as possible to our customers.

Other small details are not mentioned here to preserve the element of surprise.

📍 100% local marketing support to help our customers with their projects and developments!

🚧🔧 Optimization of our automatic inventory: the dismantling of bridge 885, a project successfully completed to reach new heights!

From 2 to 7 January 2025, we launched the project to dismantle bridge 885 mobilising several internal teams: EAI, Methods, Safety, Production, Supply Chain and Purchasing.

The goals :
✅ To store around 100 additional reels on site, thereby reducing external storage
✅ To create 6 metres of track for bridge 886
✅ To dismantle the bridge quickly while limiting the impact on production
✅ To simplify flows and reduce waste
This project was completed a day ahead of schedule, thereby minimising the impact on production!

Thanks to our partner IMECO whose expertise made this project a success.
