Water is an essential and strategic resource for our plant. We are fully aware of the importance of preserving this precious resource. In 2022, our average consumption of “surface” water, taken from the natural environment, was 345m3/hour.

Faced with the increasing scarcity of this resource, exacerbated by recurrent droughts in France in both summer and winter, we consider water conservation to be one of the key challenges of our environmental policy. In this context, our objective for 2023 is to reduce our water consumption. To achieve this, we have drawn up a Water Sobriety Plan, the main lever of which is the reuse of treated wastewater. Since 2022, we have set up a system to inject treated water from our wastewater treatment plant to replace part of the fresh water used by one of our machines.

As a responsible corporate citizen, we believe that every gesture counts when it comes to preserving water, and we are fully aware of our role in preserving this vital resource. Together, we can make a difference and help ensure sustainable management for future generations.
